Bomb threats and thunder - lets go boating!

This really happened to me on Sunday - I took some out of state real estate customers who had just purchased a river front condo out on a friend's boat on the St Johns River. They were happy to get a little preview of the river prior to putting a boat on it. We headed over to the Jacksonville Landing for lunch and drinks, tied up and walked in a restaurant only to find out the whole downtown was under evacuation due to a bomb threat! River City Brewing Co. across the harbor had no tie up for customers eating lunch so we headed back out and south on the river. Boom - uh oh, lightning and thunder storm to the west, heavy rain coming our way! So to Hooters we went as well as a bunch of other boaters who likely found themselves with no place to hide. After the worst of the storm passed we made out way back to Green Cove Springs, all 4 of us snugged up under the bimini. What an orientation to the river!
